They asked me questions like this when I was probably 11 and then made me take a math test and diagnosed me with anxiety and dyscalculia 😅 I was so confused and didn’t understand anything that was happening

Perhaps instead we say "Oh they, cleaning the register huh? You know, nobody's told me to do that yet. Looks kinda difficult." Those two neutral statements somehow add up to "Can you please teach me to clean the register?"

Girl, you're amazing. I can't even imagine what it could be like for you. The way you say it, I can see exactly why you feel burntout. On camera, I see you as happy, bright and honestly an amazing person that anyone would be lucky to be with. It's okay, you will make it through. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I... Actually don't know if I have any sort of autism- but... Punctuality is something that was engrained in me. I don't stress too much about delivery drivers and the eta time, but everything else? I used to get scolded hard for being late, so if I'm late to anywhere or anything, I get upset

My best advice to any neurodivergent person, is to be self employed if you can, even better if you can profit from one of your special interests. It completely changed my life. Even though I'm high masking, I can get a job and do relatively well in a corporate environment, my mental health declined rapidly. I had meltdowns every other day as soon as I ended my shift. The idea of turning a hobby into a job kinda sucks but it can be a life saver. And the fact that our interest is so intense and obsessive helps a lot to succeed in whatever medium you choose.

I hyperfixate on my budget and on keeping my check register up-to-date, though... so it cancels out any other hyperfixation impulses. 😅 The dopamine rush from seeing positive numbers and the anxious dread that those will suddenly flip to negative is just about the only reason I'm not perennially broke. 😬

As someone that has thrown parties, the people that show up early stress me out. The people that show up on time get put to work. The people that show up late are expected to clean up.

Most of my support needs didn't become evident until I was in my teens. The older I got, the more obvious those support needs became. I live with my mom and my older brother in a house he bought to provide the stability I need. I also dropped out of high school and got my GED because I was undiagnosed and getting no support for my sensory issues at school.

Thank you. I’m 30 and about 10 months into a severe autistic burnout. It took me a few months to give up my work and my business and really stop working completely, but I haven’t worked this year. I got an autism diagnosis 6 months ago. Your videos have really helped. It’s so hard to learn to take it slow. Im definitely at that “I’m bored and a bit better but definitely so far from being recovered completely.

Much bigger problem is all the people who don’t have families and insurances that will pay for them to constantly waste the very little resources available for mental health who go through life with genuinely debilitating illnesses but end up another body on the streets looked at as a crazy drug addict. This whole concept is sickening grown adults can’t handle the fact they are perfectly capable of living life so they run around and paint a picture that they are being deprived of being labeled as mentally disabled 🙌🙌

Question for anyone who can help me with it. Every time a video like this appears, I feel SO IDENTIFIED. With every single one. But some people in my life tell me to stop self-diagnosing with things I "don't have". I do have adhd and BPD. But I've never been diagnosed as autistic (although my sister has). Is there a possibility that I do have it and it just hasn't been detected or do I identify with all of the videos for a different reason?
